The past few weeks have been suuuuuper busy for me!

I have been lucky enough to do days of showings for miraclesuit and gottex swimwear, and also product night showings for Sunburn stores and Sundaze stores for the past two weeks all over Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast modelling 2 Chillies, Jets, Baku and Sunseeker. I was also lucky enough to keep my favourite swimmers from sunseeker, which is pictured below on the gorgeous Pania Rose!

I have also switched my blonde locks for some beautiful healthy brunette hair! I was also featured in my local paper as an up and coming model. The article talks about my life, modelling and some of my goals.

The article can be read online at http://www.baysidebulletin.com.au/news/local/news/general/danielle-catches-eye-of-girlfriend-judges/1920734.aspx

I am also in the current September/October issue of the Gold Coast’s Panache magazine picture with Becca Gilmartin as she is featured in the magazine talking about her career as a makeup artist and her new project, Two six and Brush.

As I am one of the ten face of coast finalists, I also appeared in the Life Gold Coast magazine this week alongside the other finalists, with the answers to three questions. What do you love about modelling? What is your favourite thing in the world? and Who inspires you? :)

This week I was given the wonderful opportunity to model for the stunning White Sands Swimwear at Moo Moo Restaurant alongside some beautiful models!
Leah Madden, the designer of White Sands also let all the models keep a piece of swimwear of their choice. I chose this stunning one piece pictured below! I am absolutely in love with it, and definitely think everyone should check out the White Sands collection which has many pieces that are perfect for Summer.

Pictures from the parade will be uploaded here soon!

Love Danielle.

Last tuesday I was lucky enough to be given a ticket to watch Glamorous life swimwear by Joanne Rahn and Lovebirds Australia on the runway at MBFF.

Above are some photos from the show, to see more go to the MBFF Gallery here.

A huge thank you to Joanne for giving me two tickets to the show, I had an amazing night and loved watching your labels on the runway and wish you all the success with Glamorous life and Lovebirds Australia.

The following night I was given a ticket to the Mercedes Benz invite only VIP highlights parade, click here to see the gallery. That parade was amazing and showcased all the highlights from MBFF so far, and was even more exciting as it featured some of my favourite models, Hannah Glasby @ Viviens and Emma Power @ Dallys!

Coast Lifestyle’s “Face of Coast” modelling competition

A few months ago I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of 10 finalists in the Gold Coast magazine, Coast Lifestyle’s Face of coast competition. As part of my prize I got to do an amazing bridal shoot for the magazine at Q1, was given one free Mojoz Swimsuit, a skin care package from Australian Skin Clinics  and also a jewellery piece from JWG Jewellery valued at $700.

The winner, who is announced at the face of coast grand finale event at Chevron Renaissance on Wednesday the 15th of September, will walk away with another Mojoz swimsuit, a gift basket from Chevron Renaissance, a contract with Tamblyn models and a free trip to Asia with the tamblyns booker, Sallie Tamblyn, to be introduced to Asian model agents.

The Face of Coast grand finale event is on Wednesday the 15th of September from 6pm to 9pm, it will be a fun night filled with cocktails, food, live music, and of course watching the 10 finalists strut their stuff on the runway in a Mojoz swimsuit, and their chosen casual and formal outfits chosen from stores in the Chevron Renaissance shopping centre, tickets are only $25 and can be purchased from Chevron Renaissance centre management (07 5592 5188)

Last week was a very busy and exciting week, I finished off my 2nd summer showings for sunseeker, I got to do a Zimmermann showing in the beautiful Quay west apartments in the city, the new range coming out is soo amazing, i have already picked what im buying when it comes into stores around December, so many gorgeous bikinis maxi dresses, some adorable floral playsuits and the cutest kids range i’ve ever seen! And now the next few weeks are filled with 2 chillies, moontide and sia showings.

I also got the opportunity to shoot with world renowned photographer Marcus Bell (www.marcusbell.com) for his wedding photography workshop, the wedding dress I wore for the workshop was a gorgeous lace dress supplied by the award winning Darb bridal couture (www.darbbridalcouture.com.au). Hopefully some of the photographers who I gave my email to on the day will send me some shots!

I was lucky enough to work with the lovely Becca Gilmartin again (www.beccagilmartin.com), we had an early start as Becca did my hair, make up and body painted me for a shoot with Gold Coast Panache magazine (www.goldcoastmagazine.com.au), Becca’s husband Tom (www.gilmartinphotography.com) was then kind enough to come and shoot some images of me for my portfolio with my hair make up and body paint all done. Below is a behind the scenes shot of my body paint, it looked so amazing i didnt want to wash it off!

f-l-o-at asked: you are gorgeous!!! how did you start modeling? are you very tall? X

Thank you :)

I am 174cm tall, but you dont have to be tall to be a model, there are many categories of modelling some which have no height requirements.

I started by signing with a local modeling agency, and www.modelmayhem.com is a great site to find local photographers, make up artists, hair stylists etc to do photo shoots with to build a portfolio. Being professional is extremely important in the modelling industry. Success in modelling does not come over night, but if you are determined to succeed, you will. :)
